A group of enthusiastic students recently embarked on an exciting journey to create a compelling video about sustainable fashion as part of the innovative project titled "No Label." This project aimed to raise awareness about the environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry and promote more conscious consumer choices.
The filming process began with extensive research. The students delved into the principles of sustainable fashion, exploring eco-friendly materials, ethical labor practices, and the importance of reducing waste. With this knowledge, they brainstormed creative ways to present these concepts in an engaging and informative manner.

Youth voices matter because young people are not only the future — they are the present. They experience social, environmental, and economic challenges first-hand and bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and courage to address them. When youth are heard, solutions become more inclusive, innovative, and relevant to real life. Empowering young voices strengthens democracy, encourages active citizenship, and builds communities rooted
in empathy and fairness. By creating space for youth expression, decision-making, and leadership, we invest in long-term change. Listening to young people means shaping policies, culture, and systems that reflect shared values and respond to the world we live in today.

Youngsters Designing Hoodies
with Sustainability in Mind
A group of creative young designers took on the challenge of designing hoodies with sustainability at the core. Using eco-friendly fabrics like organic cotton and recycled polyester, they focused on reducing waste while maintaining style. Each hoodie featured bold graphics promoting environmental awareness, from climate change messages to upcycled patchwork designs. The project encouraged ethical fashion choices, teaching participants about slow fashion and responsible production. By incorporating biodegradable dyes and local manufacturing, they minimized their carbon footprint. These young innovators proved that fashion can be both trendy and sustainable, inspiring others to rethink their clothing choices.

PROJECT OUTCOMES

The ARTivism Non-Formal Education Handbook is a practical educational resource developed within the No Label project to empower young people through art-driven social change. It introduces ARTivism as a methodology that combines creativity and activism to address sustainability, inclusion, and conscious consumerism. The handbook explains art’s role as a mirror of society, a tool for empathy, resistance, healing, and envisioning alternative futures. It provides structured workshop guidance, blended learning approaches, and hands-on activities focused on sustainable fashion as a case study. Designed for youth workers, teachers, and trainers, the materials support participatory learning, critical thinking, and youth-led action across diverse cultural contexts.

The Doughnut Basics Non-Formal Education Handbook introduces young people to Doughnut Economics as a framework for balancing human wellbeing with planetary boundaries. Developed within the No Label project, it explains the social foundation and ecological ceiling and highlights how current economic models drive inequality and environmental overshoot. The handbook links Doughnut thinking to sustainable lifestyles, conscious consumerism, and the fashion industry, offering concrete examples for youth engagement. It promotes regenerative and distributive approaches for business, focusing on purpose, governance, ownership, and finance. Practical workshop modules, blended learning methods, and participatory exercises support educators in helping youth connect local actions with global goals and become informed, responsible change-makers across diverse communities and cultural contexts worldwide.
